An Oat Chip
Water, 1 cup
Garlic/chili (hot pepper) paste*, 1 1/2 Tablespoon.
Flax seed, 1/8 cup then grind
Salt, 1 teaspoon
Nutritional yeast, 1/8 cup
Oat flour, 1 1/8 cup
Preheat the oven to 415°
Add the 1st ingredients. and stir.
Add the oat flour a little at a time stirring after each addition to prevent clumping.
Pour into an oiled iron skillet or other cooking pan that is about 160 sq. inches.
Cook in the oven for 30 minutes.
*I make a paste in my blender of fresh garlic, jalapeno, salt, and a little vinegar. You can also buy jars of about the same thing in the grocery.
You can add heaping tablespoons full of flour one at a time or just sprinkle and stir. Use a fork to stir. Adding flour a little at a time and using a fork or whisk will keep it from clumping.
The pan I use is either my 14 inch cast iron pizza pan or my 10.5 x 15.5 stoneware cookie sheet. The stoneware doesn't require oil. The iron pan rarely requires oil. A regular cookie sheet should work but the thicker it is the better.
